About Gerda Grice
Before I acquired my first digital camera in 2001, I was strictly a vacation point and shooter. Now, thirteen years and several digital cameras later, I shoot almost daily. I really enjoy competing in online photo contests, including, of course, the exciting monthly contests here at BetterPhoto, and I also enjoy participating in the activities of a local camera club, the Toronto Camera Club. My current "main" camera is my Nikon D5300, for which I own a single lens, the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 VC PZD lens (my current all purpose walk around and travel lens). My main backup camera is my Olympus E-M1, which . I use with the Tamron 14-150mm micro 4/3 lens and the Olympus M. Zuiko 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens.
I have a special love for travel photography and I've been lucky enough to get to visit countries as far flung and different from each other as Egypt and Chile, Italy and Iceland, the UK and Russia, several US states, including Hawaii and Alaska and most provinces ofr my home country, Canada, including a recent tour of the Canadian Rockies and a couple of stops while on a transAtlantic cruise in Newfoundland our easternmost province of Newfoundland and Labrador. However, I also very much enjoy shooting everything from water fowl to street life to tall ships to architectecture and reflections on all possible surfaces in my home city of Toronto, ON, Canada.
